Tenchi Forever! | Anime Review

One fine day, as always, Ryoko and Aeka are busy fighting over Tenchi. Tenchi takes a walk into the mountains for a breather, but he never returns.

Six months later, there is still no sign of him. Together, Ryoko and Aeka move to the city and use their time off from work to search for Tenchi.

A chance encounter reveals to them an older, more mature Tenchi with no memory of Ryoko or Aeka. To make matters worse, he seems to have found a new love in the person of Haruna.

Legend has it that a flying castle called Laputa exists somewhere up in the sky.

Pirates want to go to Laputa because of the treasures to be plundered, while other factions want to gain control of it on order to rule the world.

A young girl named Sheeta holds what seems to be the key to Laputa in the form of a mysterious pendant she wears around her neck.

The chase is on as to who can possess Sheeta first... and it's up to a young man named Pazu to protect her.

That same night, the Witch of the Waste visits the hat shop and turns Sophie into a 90-year old woman. Sophie sets off to find a way to undo the witch's spell, unwittingly ending up at Howl's Moving Castle...

The notorious criminal Kain has escaped from the Galaxy Police (GP) Headquarters. He had been captured before through the joint efforts of the Jurai Royal Family and the GP.

Around the same time, Tenchi's house on Earth suddenly disappears... even Tenchi himself is fading fast! It seems that Kain has gone back to the past to alter things to his favor.

Tenchi and the gang must now go back in time, back to 1970, and save Tenchi's parents from certain doom in the hands of Kain.

One day, Ray receives a package containing the "steam ball", a compact steam-powered energy source his grandfather invented.

Shortly after Ray gets the steam ball, strange men who claim they were sent by the foundation Ray's father and grandfather are working for try to coerce Ray into giving it to them.

Ray's grandfather suddenly appears out of nowhere and orders Ray to flee and take the steam ball to a man named Robert Stephenson. A bewildered Ray escapes with the steam ball... not knowing where he's going or what's going to happen next.
