Fey is on her way back to her father's estate after spending a couple months
studying at her aunt's house. She's eager to get back and see her two loves, John and Sophia, both of whom
are her servants.
They've all been together since childhood, and even then Fey knew she wanted
to be with them for the rest of her life, given her declaration of martial
intentions.
This is not a love triangle in the traditional sense; Fey loves both Sophia
and Big Brother John (whom she calls big brother for no genuine reason,
thankfully), whereas Sophia and John both love Fey and are fond of one another
as well. This dynamic means there is no fighting between them, no conflict or hurt
feelings.
When Fey gets home and finds Sophia and John in each other's arms,
she simply joins in on the festivities.
Unfortunately, or fortunately given its one episode, that's about all they get
to do. John and Sophia have sex in anticipation of Fey's imminent return, she arrives
and has sex with them, after which Fey and Sophia spend a special night
together.
There's not much time to fit story elements in there, and even when they do it
doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
At the onset when Fey's riding home another estate owner is lusting after her,
glad she's back and hoping to claim her for himself.
That's the last bit of story we get until Fey's father spies Sophia and John
having sex (while Fey sits off to the side, seemingly unnoticed by him).
He has some sort of incredulous, dismayed look on his face, which I can only
assume is meant to show he thinks Sophia is sleeping with John behind Fey's
back.
It's never explained though, and the events which unfold during the credits do
their best to bring his actions as a result of this "discovery" to
light, as well as destroy what was a beautiful and happy story.
If they had given the OVA more time they could have delved into such
transgressions as a way to continue the story and give it some conflict, but
as it stands it's truly just a heartbreakingly unnecessary development tacked
on the end of an otherwise beautiful piece of work.
As I said before though, it's not the story that makes Another Lady Innocent
(Front Innocent: Mou Hitotsu no Lady Innocent) a hentai title for the ages;
it's the character designs and the exquisite detail that does.
The characters, designed by Satoshi Urushihara who also did the art for Legend
of Lemnear and Plastic Little, are some of the best I have seen.
He has a very distinct style, and after watching his other titles and
subsequently viewing Another Lady Innocent I knew he must have had a hand in
it.
Richly detailed and rivetingly sexy, few will have complaints when it comes to
the girls who grace the screen. By the same token, the sex scenes are exponentially exemplified by how
intimately drawn certain areas are.
A girl's nether region is no longer simply a line or pinkish area, but a fully
explored Turkish delight. If you've seen how well done Bible Black is in terms of detail, think even
better.
This does make it sort of regrettable that they only delve into the most
customary of sex acts, but a threesome and lesbian scene do keep things from
growing too stale.
The more than competent Japanese language track doesn't hurt either, though
the English dub might, depending on your tolerance level.
If you're a hentai fan that doesn't mind a lack of narrative, you're doing
yourself a grave disservice by not having checked out Another Lady Innocent
yet.
With engrossing character designs, unparalleled detail intricacy, and strong
animation for a hentai title, this is the OVA to see for anyone interested in
the highest quality and best looking sex scenes available in the hentai
universe.
