One fine day, as always, Ryoko and Aeka are busy fighting over Tenchi. Tenchi takes a walk into the mountains for a breather, but he never returns.

Six months later, there is still no sign of him. Together, Ryoko and Aeka move to the city and use their time off from work to search for Tenchi.

A chance encounter reveals to them an older, more mature Tenchi with no memory of Ryoko or Aeka. To make matters worse, he seems to have found a new love in the person of Haruna.

Otaru and his marionettes are residing peacefully in Japoness... until Faust's saber dolls appear on their doorstep. It seems that due to the way they were brought up, the saber dolls can't cope very well with normal life.

They can't control their strength nor can they perform domestic chores such as cooking or cleaning. Faust puts the saber dolls under Otaru's charge for "live-in etiquette training", much to the shock of Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry.

However, that is actually the least of their problems. A new marionette with a maiden circuit awakens, and she somehow ends up with Otaru and the gang as well.

The problem is, for some reason President Joy of New Texas wants this marionette terminated... and he'll do everything in his power to do so, even if it means endangering Japoness.

Earth had become so over-populated that colony ships were dispatched all over the universe in order to secure other habitable places humans can migrate to. One such colony ship called the Mesopotamia crashes to a planet called Terra II.

The good news is, Terra II is conducive to human life. The bad news is, only six people survived the crash... and they're all men!

These six men decide to work together to make Terra II a world where humanity can thrive, but for all their efforts they can only multiply in numbers through cloning.

Thus, six countries are established where all the citizens are men. In memory of women, the men produce marionettes -- female androids which help the men with their everyday lives.

A young teenage boy named Otaru Mamiya is but one of the many residents of Japoness, one of the all-male countries that were established. Otaru unwittingly awakens three very special marionettes, namely Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry.

Unlike other marionettes, these three are have feelings and free will. They are almost human -- laughing, crying, getting angry... but it seems that they have higher purpose, something which Otaru could never have been prepared for.
