Cool Devices is a collection of eleven hentai short stories referred to as
"operations".
These operations include:
- "Curious Fruit" - An innocent girl named Ai is plunged into the underground world of sado-masochists and exhibitionists. But Ai likes it there...
- "Sacred Girl" - He has always been a bit obssessed with his sister, and she feels exactly the same way about him...
- "Kirei" - Two unsuspecting girls take a vacation on a beautiful island only to discover that the natives are too friendly to females.
- "Yellow Star" - Yellow Star is a drug that robs one of strength and will. Furthermore, it magnifies sensations. Ayana's stepfather seems to have a limitless supply, making her daily life a perpetual nightmare.
- "Fallen Angel Rina" - A popular idol singer discovers that there are too many debts to pay and favors owed after her father's death. But they want her body as payment, and they want her to do things. All kinds of things.
Review: Cool Devices
In Cool Devices, several different authors and artists come together to bring
you a unique brand of hentai. Every operation showcases different story-telling and animation styles.
The themes range from voyeurism to incest. With regards to the sexual content, there's a whole lot of kinky stuff. Bondage, S&M, orgies... you name it and Cool Devices's got it.
Some of the operations put women in very demeaning roles. They are turned into sex slaves, sold, treated as pets, gang-raped... it's not
a pretty picture.
I really felt sorry for some of the female characters, especially Ayana of
"Yellow Star" and Rina of "Fallen Angel Rina". But generally speaking, Cool Devices anime is a truly creative effort at hentai.
The plots and circumstances are very imaginative, and are loaded with
unexpected twists. In terms of art and animation, all the operations are quite good, but "Yellow
Star" wins top honors. It has the same exquisite quality of animation as the controversial anime
"Kite".
Ayana is one of the most beautiful characters I've ever seen (see title
graphic above). Some eps have incredulous anatomical proportions, but otherwise everything
else is visually fine.
Cool Devices goes the extra mile to up the shock value of its operations. If you're bored with the usual hentai fare, this could be a nice break. Female
viewers may be offended by some of the content though.
