Donovan is half-human and half-darkstalker. He has hated his
"tainted" blood for as long as he can remember. He spends his days
using his great power to destroy everything that is evil. Lin Lin and Lei Lei
are sisters who have chosen to become dark ones in order to avenge their
mother's death.
Demitri and Morrigan are the rulers of their own domains, seeking to control
the dark. Felicia just wants to be a good person and lead a normal life, free
of prejudice... all their paths are bound together by the alien Pyron -- whose
only desire is to become the absolute ruler of the universe... even if there
is nothing left to rule!
Review: Night Warriors DarkStalkers’ Revenge
Since Night Warriors is originally a fighting game, the anime is a collation
of the life and times of its more popular characters. Night Warriors: DarkStalkers’ Revenge's stories are linked
together by Pyron, an enigmatic alien megalomaniac.
What I find commendable is the fact that everything is coherent and well
put-together despite the multiple character sub-plots.
Everything just blends very well. It doesn't matter if you've never played the
game, because the story can stand on its own without any gaming background.
Night Warriors: DarkStalkers’ Revenge anime art and animation are eye-poppingly impressive.
The characters all look awesome and are exactly like their video game
counterparts. Fighting sequences are fast, furious, and very fluid.
There is great attention to detail and I find that the attacks are faithful to
the original video game moves. The music and songs also fit in nicely.
The English dubbing is done quite well too. The plot doesn't have as much
depth as I would have liked, but still, this is undoubtedly the one of the
best anime adaptations of a fighting game I've seen.
Miscellanies: Night Warriors: DarkStalkers’ Revenge
Everything just looks so good.
